Wednesday in Sunny, Rainy, Cold, Warm Ireland

Ireland forecasts are just like Michigan's. Last night Bruce, Dennis and I checked how the weather would be, and it said there was a twenty percent chance of light rain. Guess what, that twenty percent chance of light rain was wrong, it rained all day until 5:30, not to mention a flash of lightning and thunder.

Besides the weather, today went very well. I'd like to PTL (Praise the Lord) for what He has done so far for Kid's Club. In just three days, the attendance for the kids has doubled and then some!!! We had twenty eight today!!! I think it is really great when we only had the craft today made out for the kids that we knew; and Dennis, Ann, and I had to go into the toilet (bathroom) to sort out jewelery letters for the kid's we did not have on the list the past days!!! I am just glad that Bruce knew what he was doing when he was telling the story of Andrew, Peter, James, and John. He told the story concisely, and it really helped Dennis, Ann, and me to get the necklaces ready. It was quite the rush, but the more kid's we have there, the better the chance of them wanting a relationship with Christ! It's like how the Bible says that we should humble ourselves before God, with a child's heart and attitude.

Two people that have really done a superb job for this Kid's Club Program are Jim and Ruth Chubb. Their passion is to love children to show the love of Christ. And I am one of those children that they ministered to in the same way when I was 2-5 years old. I love those two.

Tonight, before I started writing this blog, Ann asked me to include Jim and Ruth's point of view on Kid's Club. When I asked them their reply was, "Girls are much more easier to teach than boys." I asked them if they were serious and if they wanted to say anything else, but they were serious and they said they did not need to say anything else about Kid's Club, God is doing His work and that is all that matters. Jim and Ruth truly have a heart for Christ, and they help give the children support at Kid's Club. We are truly blessed to have them here with us.

I am sad that tomorrow will be our last day working with the kids. Some of them make my day with their little Irish, or African accents. God uses everyone no matter what age they are, like little Muna, Manoah, Franklyn, Sean, Jamie, Emma, Jonathan, and Juinita at Kids Club. Those names are just a few of the kids who God has blessed all of the team members to teach and learn from. This week we were truly blessed to work with them. Tomorrow, after we finish our last day at Kid's Club, Ruth, Ann, and Linda will get ready for the Ladies Retreat, while Denny will take the guys back to Ballymun to paint a house that belongs to a fellow brother in Christ. Pray for our safety, and for the ladies to get everything straightened out for the first ladies retreat in Ireland history. Take care and God Bless!!Love Michael and the rest of the Ireland 2008 Team!!!

It makes my heart swell to think of all the wonderful things that Christ is doing through all of you while you are there. I only wish I could be there with all of you to help bring His love to all of the people there. (Yeah, I've always said that Ireland was the one place in the world I really wanted to see, so that part would have been cool too). Continued prayer that God keeps blessing all of you and all of the people you come into contact with and that He brings you all safely home.

Thanks for the prayers Danielle. It would have been fun to have you on this trip. Maybe next time!

The kids club sounds great! Wish I could have come too. Obviously God had other plans for Jeff and I this year! Well, I'm sure that what Mike says about Ruth and Jim is true....my girls absolutely love them....they call the Chubb's their friends. Have a great weekend!
