Our last full day has come to an end. And personally, I am very sad. God has done many things on this trip. We have been blessed greatly. God has made Ireland steal a piece of my heart and I am sure it has to the other team members. I pray that God will choose me again to take another trip over here to do even more of His awesome projects.
This morning the guys went back up to Navan to help Ann lead worship. From my point of view, God worked in some of the ladies lives, and He is continued to work in the ladies lives who already knew Him. Ann’s message went very well. She spoke on how we should all surrender everything to God, even though it can be difficult in some areas. After her message, we all got ready for lunch. It was a fantastic lunch. We all had chicken and lasagna, and for dessert, a cream puff with vanilla ice cream and Irish Cream. Yeah, it was awesome.
If you guys remember Tina, (some of you may have prayed for her two years ago to find the Lord) she really stuck out to me. She truly has a heart for God. Dennis gave her a “to do list” for the Bible. He told her to read the book of James, because it has a lot of material for every day life. James is one of my favorite books, and I know as a fact that Tina WILL read it and put the whole book into practice. She said that she is hoping to come to the States with Denny and Linda soon, and it would be great to see her.
After everyone left the retreat center, the team helped some of the ladies clean up the center. Some of the conversations we had were awesome! The ladies we talked to also saw God work in their friends’ lives! We had to be ready to leave the center at four, because that is when sign out was, (it’s kind of like a hotel) and we left with four minutes to spare.
We headed back to Denny and Linda’s house to unwind and get ready for tomorrow. We talked for about two hours. After talking, we decided to go to Michael’s (Me-haul’s) house to say our final goodbyes. I was really glad to see him and his family one more time. Both Michael and Jamie’s mom (mother of one of the kids from kid’s club) said that they have a feeling that they will see me again here in Ireland. When they both said that, at completely different times, I did not really believe them. But now I know that God may have a plan for me to visit here again.
Right now it is 8:09pm, and we are waiting for supper. We are having fish and chips from Drogheda. After we eat, we will head back to Balbriggan and clean the McGrath house. And as for me, I will write a letter to the McGrath’s thanking them for what they provided for us, and thank them for other stuff. We leave for the airport at 12:00pm tomorrow that would be 5:00am your time. We take off at 2:30pm, that’s 7:30am your time. Pray for us to have a safe trip home and for Ann and me to not worry about flying. This is the last blog for Ireland 2008, and I feel blessed to write to all of you guys back at home. Take care, thank you for your prayers, and God Bless!!!!
Love,
Michael and the 2008 Ireland team.
