Sunny Monday in Ireland

Our days here are going by so fast, I don't even know how I'll be able to leave Ireland! We just finished our fourth day here, and it was just as amazing as the first three. We started Kids Club today and we only had eleven children ranging from all ages, but we should get many more tomorrow. Some kids had their last day of school today. We rocked out in worship, singing songs like 'Jesus Loves Me', 'The Lord's Army', 'Father Abraham', and my personal favourite, 'I've Got the Joy Down In My Heart'. Jim and Ruth did a wonderful job telling the lesson today. This may sound funny, but Ruth told the story of Ruth! The Kid's Club memory verse is John 3:16, and they are doing a good job learning the verse. The craft was revolved around John 3:16. For sports Matt and I had them play football(soccer), a paper relay, and we taught them how to play a well known US game...kickball!!!
After Kid's Club, we had lunch and then we discussed the next three days for Kid's Club, because we won't have time after the next three days. We worked until about 5:30 when Denny and Linda came to pick us up to go to a fishing town called Houth. There we had THE BEST fish and chips. That is not an opinion, I've had lots of fish and chips before, and these ones put all others in their grave! The scenery in Houth made all of us speechless. There will be pictures of Houth soon.
One verse in the Bible that really spoke to me was Isaiah 55:12, 'You will go in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.' By seeing the land that God has blessed us with, it was like the mountains and sea and the breeze were in fact singing a song to me and the rest of the team. A song that God IS here and He loves and cares for this torn country and the rest of this world. I really wish all of you were here with us physically, you all would love it. But you are here with us emotionally, we here are not just the mission team, YOU ARE TOO!!! Without you, we would be the only one's praying for God's work, but you guys are praying, and we greatly appreciate that! We love you all.
On the subject of prayer before I close for tonight. Last night, I posted a prayer for Denny and Linda. they were to go to the Immigration office in Drogheda today, to try to renew their rights to live here. As you can recall, it was their third time going and the Irish government absolutely frowns on third renewals. By your prayers, the immigration officer asked no questions whether or not to renew their rights living here. They are not to leave this country. God wants them here longer. Long story short, NO government has ANY power over God's plan. God is in control!!!! I just want to say Amen!!! Thank you for your prayers and keep on praying. I look forward to writing to you tomorrow night!!! Goodnight and God Bless!!! Michael and the rest of the Ireland team
