Well I hope you have been enjoying Mike's updates. He's a funny guy and I think he is doing a great job of telling you about our days. But occasionally I still like to write to all of you.

One of the great lessons to learn on any missions project is humility. It is so easy to make comparisons between cultures and to assume that we have the answers to how to do things. For me I am continually humbled that I have been asked to speak and share God's word. This ladies retreat that we are doing on the weekend is a huge project for Linda and those helping her. I take for granted the blessings we have of heading off to a conference or retreat in the US. But here this is the first retreat being held for ladies in this part of Ireland...the ladies are excited about coming and many are new believers or still on the fence about Christianity. Yeah, I don't feel any pressure being the speaker at their, first ever, ladies retreat. Yeah right! :)

Please pray for this awesome weekend that we are going to have. Pray for me as I continue to refine what God has laid on my heart for these women. Also pray for the worship, the various craft times and the pampering that is going to take place throughout the weekend.

Specifically...

Pray for Linda as she finalizes the plans and details for everything from food to song books.

Pray for the hearts of the ladies attending, that they would be open to the Holy Spirit's call.

Pray for our team as we prepare to entertain them with music as well as lead them in worship.

Pray against anything getting in the way of any of these ladies coming this weekend.
