Wednesday

Today Vicky is bringing you the team update....

Hola,

Greetings from far far away. The weather is beautiful here and the country is amazing. Where else in the world can you see palm trees adn mountains? (Don't worry I have taken hundreds of pictures to show you.)
Its a lot of fun trying to communicate in Spanish. (the whole two words I know). We rely on Dan for all of our translations. (Thanks Dan)
The kids just giggle and laugh at our attempts. Kids are kids no matter where in the world they live.
Today we made sandwiches-lots of them. Ham and cheese with a little mayo. We took the sandwiches and delivered them to the local schools around the dump. Its hard to believe how poor these schools really are. I am not sure if their are any schools in inner Detroit that can even compare.
The best part about our day was picking up left over food from a cruise ship and bringing it to the school children in the poor part of Puerto Vallarta. We fed around 250 happy kids today. It was a great expereince.
I would rather do this any day than be stuck in Michigan with 10 inches of snow. HA HA
HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY TO MY BOY ETHAN!
Gracias....Vicky

Hey Guys....

Although Alexander and I cannot be with you, know that we are praying with and for each and everyone of you in our daily prayers. We are very much enjoying those daily blogs and look forward to all your different points of views. Sounds like Brandon has made a friend and Ann can give directions to all the local banks. I didn't realize Dan spoke Spanish. I hope Dan isn't making fun of Ann's bad hair days behind her back in Spanish??? We are looking forward to your return so we can see all those photos and listen to all your moving and funny stories that you will have to share. So as you come near to end of this journey, we pray unceasingly that you will accomplish all the Lord has in store for the people of this village in Mexico. May each person you meet, touch your soul in a way that will change you forever, as I'm sure each of you will change them.

As always we remain....
in His hands.

P.S.(We are on our second snow day here. As you enjoy the temperatures and vistas of Mexico, Alexander and I went outside today and built an igloo) Temperature today -COLD....Vista - SNOW
