Saturday

Saturday July 14th

Well it rains all the time here in Mexico. The end...

Just kidding, but seriously it is called the rainy season for good reasons! I'm actually a fan of warm rains, however, it does seem like my group always gets pelted with droplets traveling 50+ miles per hour. Anywho, it is officially the end of day 3 in Bucerias. I think i speak for everyone when i say that we are thoroughly enjoying our stay here. Tonight we attended some youth group services at La Fuente de Riviera (the church we're working with down here), and we all discussed how amazing (and LOUD) the worship was. It is so totally humbling to be here, surrounded with beautiful people who love Christ with all their hearts. No words come to my mind to properly explain the immensity of the surrender that you can experience as a Christ-follower, and to see the faith of our brothers and sisters is awesome! Hmm. Usually our afternoons are the busiest. Like today we separated into our individual groups to minister to children at VBS programs. The kids are so enthusiastic and pretty much adorable...sometimes not understandable (but oh well; our "splanglish" is decent). We had the opportunity to perform our drama/skit two more times this evening and it is going over very well. All in all, everyone is very kind and understanding, plus it seems like the people are receptive to the messages and the Word being spoken. It is getting rather late and i can't possibly put all my thoughts down, but i hope i painted a good enough picture of what our day consisted of. Not alot of traveling, but tomorrow it's back to the orphanages (about a 10 min drive), as well as helping set up for church (at La Fuente), listening to two services (Spanish and English), eating more heaping plates of food (if that's your thing), and tearing down. I am about to head off to bed, but i hope that all of you at home are well and looking forward to reading our updates. Oh, and one last thing...with it being rainy here and all, we have seen plenty of seeds planted. Some of us have even planted them with other team members. Who knows...perhaps by the end of the trip they'll be in full bloom!

Buenos noches everyone!
Lauren
