It's an Adventure

Well, still no luggage so far, but there's a rumor floating around that we'll be getting it tonight. Everyone has been sharing what we can and things are working out all right. The good news: I discovered some excellent Spanish deodorant. And also candy. I'll let you figure out which one is more important. Today we met at the church for Sunday morning service which started at 11:00. Beat that, Venue. Just kidding. Mindy sang beautifully while accompanying herself on the guitar. I wish I could do that. We all sang (and by sang I mean mumbled awkwardly) through several songs in Spanish with familiar melodies. I clapped enthusiastically.

After the service, we had an hour to kill before lunch at the church, so we got a nice tour around the beach and the marina from Ruth. The weather is beautiful today! Lunch was some sort of chicken/potato/carrot/pea/broth dish with some yummy bread on the side and plenty of strangely flavored pop. Everything was delicious and the people from the church have been serving us nonstop. Spaniards are super friendly, which is great, considering the rule at lunch was that we were not allowed to sit next to English speakers. It was actually hilarious and a lot of fun, and I got a lot more talking done than I expected.

I learned that only .02% of the people in Spain are Christians, a fact which was really shocking to me. Please be praying for the people of Spain, and that God will be able to use us to effectively reach them.

We're about to have dinner with Ruth and Howard, and I'm pretty sure pizza is on the menu. So adios for now! I know where my priorities are. Much love, Karli

This morning in the prayer room Frances Wilson, Traci Alexander and I were praying for you all and that the lost will come to know Jesus through your labor in His love. Praying that all will be blessed by your service to Him and thankful for all who are blessing you and the team. Blessings, love and prayers, Leonard and Marilyn
