A Brand New Ipod

Have you ever gotten a gift that just totally overwhelmed you? Well this week I got the most amazing gift from my Sunday morning Adult Bible Fellowship group. They gave me a new 160G Ipod!!!!! This is the best thing ever. I have been dreaming about and drooling over this ipod since it came out. When I opened the box and saw what it was I couldn't believe it. I was shocked! I was speechless! It's the perfect gift for me.

I was shocked and speechless because it seemed like way too much for them to have bought it for me. What had I done to really deserve such a gift? It's expensive! But they did it for me because they love me. It was an awesome feeling!

So as I have been loading my new ipod and thinking about those feelings and about perfect gifts I, of course, got thinking about the one perfect gift...Jesus.

The fact that He came to earth was a shock. This was certainly an overwhelming gift. God of the universe coming to the earth as a baby. Wow! We certainly don't deserve it...it seems like way to much to be given for the likes of us. What did we do to deserve such a gift? Nothing! Yet He came because He loves us.

Now that is truly and awesome feeling!
